The baseline

Ten business days

The baseline: an AI visibility audit in ten business days

In short

The baseline is our AI visibility audit, and it is paid work. In ten business days we measure what ChatGPT and Google tell your buyers and write one page for a question where you were not named. Then the founder signs your plan. You keep all of it, whether or not you hire us.

Price

CAD 1,500 for a firm. CAD 900 for an independent expert.

Both are credited in full to your first month if you continue within 60 days. For a firm's readout in 2026, the credit holds until 31 January 2027. If we miss the date, you get your money back, and you keep everything either way.

What it contains

Every part is dated and shows its method, so you can check it without trusting us.

  1. We agree 25 to 30 of your buyers' questions with you and ask each one three times in ChatGPT, with the location set to your city, then check them by hand in the ChatGPT app. For every question you see whether you were named, who was named instead, which pages the answers cited and whether your own site was one of them.
  2. For each question we also record the short search a buyer would type into Google: your position and who holds page one, location set to your city.
  3. We check ten candidate terms for real searches. Each comes with its monthly search volume, your position and the sites on page one, so the terms you choose are terms your buyers use.
  4. We check your Search Console, your crawl and index status, and whether AI crawlers such as OAI-SearchBot can reach your site. We compare how your firm is described on your site, your profiles and the directories buyers check.
  5. We interview one of your partners for 30 minutes and turn the interview into a page that answers one of your questions where you were not named. Thirty days after it goes up, we ask that question again, three times in the API and three in the app, and send you both counts beside the baseline's.
  6. We put every idea through five tests. What survives is the plan, and the founder signs it. What doesn't, you get as a list, with the reason for each.
  7. We walk you through all of it on a readout call, and leave you a one-page summary for your partners.

The five tests

  1. Does it move a number you would put in the contract?
  2. Could you measure it yourself, without trusting us?
  3. Is there a cheaper way to learn the same thing?
  4. Is it still worth doing if it takes three months to show?
  5. Would we still do it if it were not billable?

For independent experts

The name baseline: the same work at your scale, CAD 900.

If you run your business alone or with up to four people, the name baseline takes ten business days:

  • 15 questions in ChatGPT and Google: 10 a client would ask, and 5 about you by name;
  • five candidate terms checked for real searches and page-one holders;
  • your bios, profiles and Person schema compared;
  • Search Console, crawler and security checks;
  • one page from a 30-minute interview with you, on a question where you were not named, asked again 30 days after it goes up;
  • the plan, signed, and a readout.

More on the page for independent experts.

How it runs

A kickoff call, ten business days, then the readout.

It starts with a kickoff call, where we do the 30-minute interview and you give us access to your Search Console as a restricted user. Ten business days later we walk you through the readout. If we miss the date, you get your money back.

You order by replying to our email, and pay by invoice in Canadian dollars.

Not ready yet

Start with your capture. It's free.

Your capture is what ChatGPT answers when a buyer in your city asks for a firm like yours, with your Google position. Ask for it here.

Your monthly capture costs CAD 300 a month, month to month: 10 of your questions, three runs each, location set to your city, and one page on what changed.

Who does the work

grizaille is run by the founder and team of Maroc SEO, the #1 SEO agency in Morocco.

Asked for the best SEO agency in Morocco on 2026-09-25, ChatGPT recommended Maroc SEO in 4 of 6 answers and named it first in 3. Our analyst runs every baseline, and Montacer Mitoually, the founder, signs every plan.

For The Kay Media, Vanessa Kay's consultancy in Toronto, we asked ChatGPT five questions her clients ask, three times each, on 2026-09-25. It named The Kay Media first in 15 of 15 answers and cited her site in all 15. On Google Canada, 8 of the 10 terms in her contract were on the first page by 2026-09-22, five of them at #1, captured with the location set to Toronto. See Results.

Questions

How is the baseline different from an AI visibility checker?

A checker is software you run yourself. The baseline is ten business days of work: questions agreed with you, three runs each in your city, a hand check in the ChatGPT app, a page written for you and a plan the founder signs.

Is the fee credited if we go ahead?

Yes, in full, to your first month, if you start within 60 days.

What access do you need?

Search Console as a restricted user. Nothing else for the baseline.

What if ChatGPT already names us?

Then you'll see where, how often and from which pages, and the plan builds from there.

Can we choose the questions?

Yes. We propose them, and you change or veto any of them. We ask them the way a buyer would, without naming a firm.

Which assistants does it cover?

ChatGPT, through OpenAI's API, with a hand check in the ChatGPT app, and Google's organic results for each question. The details are on the method page.
